CeController-App

Problems connecting CeStudio and CeController App?

Option A: No admin rights

The software requires admin rights to access the network. Start the software again as admin.

Option B: No network connection

Check that the computer with CeStudio and the smartphone with the CeController app are on the same local network. This can be within a wifi or a hotspot network.

Option C: Firewall

If the firewall blocks CeStudio’s communication on the network, it will not be possible to connect to the smartphone. Then the software must be allowed to communicate in the system settings. This can be done in a few seconds.

To ensure that the security of your device is not compromised, please only adjust the specified options.

Guide to Allow CeStudio through Windows Firewall
  1. Open Control Panel
    • Press Windows + S and type Control Panel. Click on the respective result.
  2. Navigate to System and Security
    • Then click on Windows Defender Firewall.
  3. Allow an app through Windows Firewall
    • On the left side, you’ll find a link named Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall. Click on it.
  4. Change settings
    • Click the Change settings button. This might require administrative privileges.
  5. Add the app
    • Scroll down to “Open JDK Platform binary”.
  6. Allow access
    • Make sure “Private” or “Public” are checked, depending on your network.
  7. Finalize
    • Click OK to apply the changes.
